About Me
Hi, I’m Tina of Sportina!
I help 40+ females & males to move their body in a way that helps them feel more mobile, stronger and supports them with everyday activities of daily living.
Having been a professional dancer/aerobics Instructor for 10 years then a full time mum for 9 years I decided it was time to return to what I love most and that is helping people to move and enjoy it at the same time!
I lived in Athens from 1993 until 2005 which is when my husband and I relocated to the UK. By 2006 I was back to teaching many different types of class genres but over the last decade I have settled with my favourites being Pilates, Yoga, Chair Based exercise and strength training to help class members maintain bone density and lean muscle mass as they age.
I have helped dozens of people improve their mobility, body awareness, strength, balance and general knowledge of how the body works. I love the way the Pilates & Yoga compliment each other and as an added bonus they help the student perform ‘other’ types of exercise more mindfully & safely.
It delights me to hear that clients feel more ‘comfortable’ in their own skin and I would love for every ‘body’ to feel the benefits of mindful movement. I also run annual Mindful Movement Retreats as an extension of the classes I offer. There’s something wonderful about a group of like minded people gathering together for a week of fun exercise classes, delicious food, amazing company and of course a spot of Sunshine!
“Tina’s dance background and her wealth of experience in the fitness industry really shows in this class. The routines are well put together, starting simple and gradually built on, giving both brain and body a workout! They are also regularly changed to stop boredom setting in. A fun class that will see you coming back for more”.
